Grief, Loss & Disenfranchised Grief
Grief counseling is a form of therapy that helps clients deal with the death of a loved one or the feelings of loss associated with major life transitions, including a pregnancy loss/miscarriage, job loss, divorce, the demise of a friendship or a major move.
Grief can be associated with feelings of sadness, hopelessness, regret, and anger, and can come with a roller coaster of emotions.
Grief can also trigger a variety of different emotional symptoms, including anxiety and depression, as well as physical symptoms including loss of appetite, fatigue, and digestive problems.
Because everyone experiences grief and loss in a different way, our therapists provide individualized treatment options to find effective ways for each client to cope with stressors and emotions associated with their loss.
