Dr. Mescall has extensive experience working with youth and their families through psychological evaluation, specializing in differential diagnosis of mood and behavior problems, such as ADHD. Dr. Mescall values input from youth, their families, and their support system. She integrates this input into thoughtful assessment and diagnosis, providing a treatment plan that is holistic and strengths-based.
Dr. Mescall employs a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and relational approaches, to diagnose and treat concerns related to depression, mood disorders, anxiety, adjustment disorders/life transitions, and trauma/PTSD. Dr. Mescall has also received training and national certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based intervention for youth aged 8-17 who have experienced trauma.
Dr. Mescall completed a B.A. in Psychology and Child Development and Family Studies at Purdue University, West Lafayette. She completed a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent mental health at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
