Animals and Therapy: What You Should Know

Emotional support animals (ESAs) have become a particularly touchy subject lately. Earlier this year, air carriers Delta and United announced more stringent guidelines regarding ESAs on board their aircraft. In March, sources at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development hinted that the Department is considering doing the same, which could potentially make it more difficult for a tenant or homeowner to use the ESA designation to possess an animal in a property with a no-pets policy.
